Product Description

Good and abundant spring rains set up for a good and normal crop size for the vineyards. Summer was typical in temperature and sunshine, with veraison and ripening happening normally. September ushered in blistering temperatures for a week or two, pushing grape sugars up rapidly. Harvest began on a more typical starting date throughout Mendocino, with our merlot coming in two harvests, on before the mid-October rain showers, and one a couple of weeks later. The result was ripe, balanced grapes for our Weibel Family 2009 Merlot.
